OUR CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

At SimShakti Yoga, our classes are breath-led, alignment focused, sometimes strong and dynamic, sometimes slow and deep. Each class concludes with a mini Sound Bath during Savasana. Our practice is all about connecting the body to the breath and the physical to the spiritual. We love playful and creative classes, building strength and flexibility, encouraging curiosity and self care, whilst offering a variety of classes to suit everybody and Every Body!

Beginners Hatha Yoga

Beginners Hatha yoga is practiced at a slower pace, with focus on the breath, controlled movements, and lengthening our muscles. Hatha is considered a gentle yoga that focuses on static poses and is great for beginners.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha is a form of yoga in which you move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that focus on your strength, breath, flexibility and mindfulness. However, even though it is gentle, it can still be physically and mentally challenging, whilst remaining accessible to able bodied Yogis.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Appropriate for all levels, restorative yoga is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. Chair yoga classes typically target those with physical disabilities, injuries or ageing men and women who find a typical yoga session too challenging. It is also a great form of yoga for beginners or anyone who wants to focus on a gentle practice.

Meditation & Sound Journey

Combining guided meditation and the frequencies of sound vibration can bring us to a place of balance and harmony. Crystal Singing Bowls used during meditation can help us to shift into a deeper state of relaxation by allowing the brain to synchronise with the sound frequencies to assist in maintaining focus and relaxation.
